[Poem a Day] “Roof Caved In Months Ago”

Check out today’s post on Instagram.

There was this old farm we went to a lot. It had long since been left by the people who used it, and the county had been planning on turning it into a park for a couple forevers now. In the meantime, it just sat there, losing more and more of itself to rot and gravity as the days went, and went, and went. We went there a lot out of a sort of fascination of abandoned places – this tingle in the air when you set foot into a place that distinctly was and yet still is.

A friend tells me the entrances we used to use are completely grown over now. The vines and weeds have gone and spruced the place up for us.
